I’m learning a lot about myself on this weight loss plan!
Turns out, I really like rules and regulations! It’s easy to say “no” to just about anything if it’s against the rules. And now that the detox is officially over, I’m finding it very easy to say “yes” to more and more of the foods and drinks that got me here in the first place!

Detox – Week 3. If you’ve never tried a detox, you don’t know what you’re missing out on!
When you are taking care of your body – eating healthy fruits and vegetables, good protein, nuts and seeds, drinking lots of water, and exercising everyday – you are going to feel great from morning to night. And not just physically, but mentally as well. You will feel happier. You will feel rested. You will feel FABULOUS!!

Detox – Week Two… I’m actually enjoying all the vegetables and fruit I’m eating! And this week I got to add high quality protein to the mix. I went crazy for seafood, which is odd because fish is usually my last choice for an entrée.

I survived Week One of my 21-day detox/cleansing…
And I have to say, I DO FEEL GREAT! I have lots of energy, I’m in better spirits, and I feel so “light” – even though at the end of the week I have only lost another half-pound.

Well, the final blow-out is over and we can all concentrate on our resolutions for the upcoming year.

Christmas has come and gone and the scales have stabilized. That’s good news! It would have been a bit much to expect to lose weight last week, even though I passed up the biscuits and gravy at Christmas breakfast and didn’t even glance at the rolls during the dinner feast.

I have good news to report this week! In spite of the onslaught of goodies and treats that keep appearing in the break room at work, I have managed to lose another two pounds…yippee!

Horrors! I gained a pound this week…
Christmas parties, special family gatherings (which included constructing a gingerbread house – oh! the sweet treats!), stress and interrupted routines are all contributing to my lack of focus.

It’s officially the holiday season and there are so many opportunities to completely fail at sticking to the plan.
But, I sailed right through Thanksgiving and managed to lose another pound for the week. Four weeks, four pounds – woo hoo!

Yippee! The plan is working. I lost two more pounds in the third week of the wedding health kick!
Actually, I kind of cheated. My official weigh-in day is Friday mornings on the scales at work. Since I didn’t have to work this past Friday morning, I weighed myself on Thursday morning. Then I proceeded to pig out all day on turkey and all the trimmings…oh well.
