I started my hunt for a dog when my youngest child entered high school.

I worked in the evenings, and since my daughter was the last child living at home, she was there alone with her father at night. “I’m bored,” she’d lament. “I miss you. Dad’s boring!” she whined. I decided what she needed was...a dog.

I love my bed!  It’s my favorite place to be.  So it was nothing short of a miracle when, on a recent weekend, I got to stay in it for an entire day.  Twenty-four glorious hours!
